The 2005 Mustang refresh brought the classic retro design back to the modern era. This generation of Mustang is the one that put the Mustang back in the front of the pony car field. The California Special was reintroduced in 2007 after a twenty year hiatus. The California Special package added two tone seats, unique floor mats, GT/CS side stripes, side scoops, 18" polished aluminum wheels, rolled exhaust tips, faux gas cap, and different front and rear bumper fascias. It was a $1,895 option on top of a Mustang GT, and was available in five different colors. The beautiful GT/CS you see here is finished in Dark Candy Apple Red with two tone light grey and dark grey interior. This is a fully optioned car with the optional performance axle ratio and six speed manual transmission. Unlike most Mustangs, this GT/CS has escaped modification excluding a K&N cold air intake. This Mustang shows extremely well and the paint is absolutely stunning in the sun. The polished five spoke wheels really add to the overall looks. The interior has all the power toys, nice leather covered buckets, full gauges with color change lighting, and a premium Shaker 500 audio system with six disc CD changer built in. This GT/CS is a hoot to drive, and the performance rear axle really gives it thrilling acceleration. The only this this horse needs is a new rider.
