Under the hood of this classy chassis is the venerable Chevrolet small block in its 265CI guise. This is THE small block that started the legend, debuting in 1955 in the Bel Air and Corvette models. This 265CI V-8 is topped off with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and matching Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor for just a little added performance. The transmission is a smooth shifting three speed manual with column shift. This transmission makes the Bel Air peppy and exciting to drive, much better than a two speed Powerglide for driver involvement.
