Description
The Chevy II received it's first real styling update since it's introduction in 1962. Gone was the rounded styling of the previous years, replaced with a more squared off and angular look. Sales instantly increased, jumping up 25% to 163,300 units. The top of the line model for 1966 was the Nova SS, with sportier styling, powerful V-8, and better suspension. The 1966 Nova SS you see here is in immaculate condition, and draws crowds like moths to a flame. The beautiful Bahama Blue paint is amazing, and the body is arrow straight. The addition of billet aluminum 17" wheels and lowered stance give this SS that "just right" look. You just don't see them this clean!! On the inside it's just as nice as the outside, with beautiful blue vinyl buckets, center console, digital AM/FM radio, and classic Stewart Warner gauges. The interior is borderline perfection, and the color absolutely compliments the overall look of the car. Under the hood is a RamJet fuel injected 350 with long tube headers that are almost a work of art in and of themselves. The transmission is an automatic three speed handing off power to a GM 12 bolt rear axle. Braking duties are handled by discs in front and drums in the rear. This beautiful Nova has won numerous awards at car shows, gone on the HOT ROD Power Tour, and been featured on the cover of the Sept. 2001 issue of Hot Rod magazine.
